PWD tender scam exposed

The FijiSUN newspaper revealed evidence of a tender scam to Works Minister, Savenaca Draunidalo.  

The scam came to attention after a tenders notice from the Works Ministry included a 'requirement' of two four-wheel drive vehicles to be supplied by the successful bidder to the Works Department.  Also included in the notice was a stipulation that the vehicles be valued at $130,000.

Mr. Draunidalo launched an immediate investigation after receiving the documents from the FijiSUN.  He said it was time for a shake-up in the ministry.  Questions directed to his CEO, Anasa Vocea, and Director of Roads, Mosese Nailumu, went unanswered.
