Former PM Sitiveni Rabuka and Naitasiri High Chief, Ratu Inoke Takiveikata are expected to be charged soon for their part in the November 2000 mutiny.
Police investigators have confirmed that adequate evidence has been gathered to implicate the two in the attempted take over of Queen Elizabeth Barracks to remove Army Commander, Commodore Frank Bainimarama.
It has not yet been publicized as to what charges will be laid.
Police also confirmed that certain politicians and senior civil servants would be charged as soon as much as indispensable evidence is collected against them. Social status will not stand in the way of investigations.
Police has been directed to clear all coup related cases by 31st of July.
