The
Lautoka Mill was out of action for 72 hrs (3 days) because of mechanical
breakdowns and staggered cane supply.
The
Raiwai and Labasa Mills were also plagued by mechanical failures resulting
in very slow crush rates. Penang Mill is due to shut down at the end of the
week after crushing around 210,000 tonnes.
TCTS is
averaging at between 12.5 -13.0 and is likely to deteriorate with almost
100% burnt cane now being delivered to the mills.
